If you enjoy a great hike with fantastic views, then you don’t want to miss the Piper trail at the Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge. The trail is one mile long and is one way in with the same way out. The trail features a terrific mix of flowers and trees and benches have been placed along the way. The highlight of the hike, though, is the two overlook platforms that have been built. From these vantage points, you can look down at the Cahaba River and get a birds eye view of the lilies below. The entrance to the trail is one mile east of River Trace Road on Bibb County Road 24.
